I didn’t really want to make a movie about boys, but it started when I was in college one summer and I wanted to go home and make a romantic movie, but I couldn’t find an actress, so I decided to make it about two boys. But I don’t know anything about the same sex thing. I think everything about labels is simple and rough, and there must be a critical area of free gradient, so I found a really accurate “degree” instead. So I found a film aesthetic that I liked. So much so that I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and nearly 10 years later, I made my feature film debut, Friends. Even if this short film is immature, it is important to me.
